Portrait Drop ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, process, and safeguard your information when you use the Portrait Drop mobile application and related services (the "Service").
By using Portrait Drop, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Images and Media Content
Portrait Drop allows users to capture images using their device camera or import images into the application.
These images are processed to:
- Create product photos
- Create profile photos
- Detect and isolate subjects using segmentation technology
- Place subjects into studio-style environments
- Apply lighting and visual adjustments
- Apply Professional Studio Finish when you request it
- Generate final image outputs
- Generate AI-assisted create-a-post copy
- Generate AI-assisted copy from manually uploaded images
- Apply a Portrait Drop watermark when you share an output
Images are not automatically stored on our servers.
Images are stored locally on your device unless you choose to share or upload them.
1.2 Camera and Device Permissions
Portrait Drop requires access to your device camera to enable image capture functionality. The camera is only accessed when you actively initiate it.
1.3 Account Information
To access certain features, you may create an account. We may collect:
- Name
- Email address
- Authentication credentials
- Included monthly credit usage
- Purchased credit balances
- Purchase status and credit deduction history
- Whether Professional Studio Finish, AI Product Captions, paid wallet credits, Free Credits, saving, or sharing were used
1.4 Payment Information
Portrait Drop offers a Free Forever monthly wallet with 20 Free Credits every 30 days and optional one-time paid wallet credit packs.
Payments are processed through secure third-party providers, such as Google Play billing.
Paid wallet credits may be used for premium actions such as Professional Studio Finish and optional Amazon Main Photo Export.
Unlimited shooting, watermarked saving, and watermarked sharing may be available without using paid wallet credits.
Paid wallet credits are one-time add-ons, do not start a subscription, and do not expire unless required by law or platform policy.
Free Credits refresh every 30 days and do not roll over.
AI Product Captions may be included for active wallet holders while the wallet balance remains above the minimum threshold shown in the app. When the wallet balance falls below that threshold, caption generation may use wallet credits until additional credits are added.
We do not store full payment card details.
1.5 Usage and Technical Data
We may collect limited technical data, including:
- Device type and operating system
- App usage activity
- Feature interaction, such as product photo usage, profile photo usage, AI create post usage, and manual create post usage
- Professional Studio Finish usage
- Save, watermarked share, and Professional Studio Finish selections
- Free Credit usage totals and remaining monthly allowance
- Paid credit balances and deductions
- Performance and crash diagnostics
2. How We Use Information
We use collected information to:
- Provide and maintain the Service
- Process product photos, profile photos, and uploaded images to generate outputs
- Apply requested Professional Studio Finish to product and profile photo outputs
- Deliver AI-assisted marketing copy suggestions
- Use optional product details you provide, such as brand name, key selling points, discounts, materials, ingredients, and benefits, to generate more relevant create-a-post copy
- Manage Free Credits, paid wallet credits, and billing
- Track credit-based feature allowances and usage limits
- Apply the correct credit deduction order for requested features
- Support credit-based saving and watermarked sharing
- Improve performance and user experience
- Detect and prevent misuse or abuse
We do not sell your personal information.
3. Image Processing and AI Features
Portrait Drop uses automated technologies, including segmentation and AI systems, to generate outputs.
Processing may include:
- Object detection and subject isolation
- Background environment placement
- Lighting optimization
- Professional Studio Finish for requested product or profile photo refinements
- AI-generated marketing copy for create-a-post requests
- AI analysis of manually uploaded images for manual create-a-post requests
- Optional product detail inputs supplied by you for create-a-post requests
All processing is performed solely to provide requested features.
Professional Studio Finish and create-a-post features may send the selected image and relevant user-provided inputs to AI processing providers so the requested output can be generated.
4. Data Storage and Retention
Images are stored on your device unless explicitly shared.
Temporary processing may occur during capture, segmentation, Professional Studio Finish, create-a-post, save, or share flows.
We do not retain user images longer than necessary to provide the requested feature.
5. Third-Party Services
Portrait Drop may rely on third-party providers for:
- Authentication
- Payments
- Analytics
- Infrastructure
- AI processing services
These providers operate under their own policies.
6. Data Security
We implement reasonable safeguards to protect your information. However, no system can guarantee absolute security.
7. Age Restrictions
Portrait Drop may be used by individuals ages 16 and older for Free Forever monthly features.
Paid credit packs and billing features are intended only for users who are 18 years and older, or users who have parental or guardian permission.
If a user under 18 uses Portrait Drop, paid purchases must be made only with permission from a parent, guardian, or other legally authorized adult.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access your data
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
